As the only African country in the BRICS, South Africa is playing a bigger and more meaningful role in the group on behalf of the broader African continent. Recently, Nomaindiya Mfeketo, South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, spoke to ChinAfrica reporter Liu Jian in Beijing in an exclusive interview about her views on Africa's role in the BRICS, and how the BRICS will help address the problem of youth unemployment and empower women in Africa.
