The Second BRICS Film Festival kicked off in Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, on June 23, bringing together filmmakers from the group's five members - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa as well as senior government officials, media and visitors.
A festival highlight was the first BRICS coproduction, Where Has Time Gone?, a 110-minute anthology of five short films made a filmaker from each of the BRICS countries using the theme of time.
The film premiered at the film festival in Chengdu, and will be screened in September at the Xiamen BRICS Summit in southeast China’s Fujian Province.
