Chinese Ambassador-Designate to Namibia Presents the Letter of Credence to Namibian President

Chinese ambassador-designate to Namibia, Zhang Yiming presented the Letter of Credence to Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia at State House in Windhoek on Thursday.

Zhang presented the Letter of Credence signed by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Hage Geingob and then held friendly talks.

Zhang conveyed the best regards from President Xi. He highlighted the point that China and Namibia are all-weather friends, brothers and partners. It is a great honor for him to revisit the Land of Brave and Namibian side's special arrangements for his arrival and the presentation of Credence are highly appreciated.

Zhang also expressed the willingness to make joint efforts with the Namibian side, to promote bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation to a new level.

Geingob appreciated the greetings and the birthday congratulation message from President Xi and welcomed Zhang as the new Chinese Ambassador.

He emphasized that the two peoples had enjoyed traditional friendship, and the bilateral cooperation had made steady progress. He was optimistic about the potentials and prospective of the cordial relationship.

Geingob promised that the Namibian side was always ready to work closely with China to boost the long-lasting friendship. He wished Zhang a great success with his work and expected to witness milestone achievements during his tenure.
