President Xi's Envoy to Attend Rwandan Presidential Inauguration Ceremony

As the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Liu Xiaofeng, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, will attend the inauguration ceremony of Rwandan president in Kigali on Aug. 18.

Liu was invited by the Rwandan government, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said Thursday.

President-elect Paul Kagame will be sworn in as president of the central African nation for the seven-year term in office after winning the latest presidential elections.
