The BRICS Seminar on Governance and Cultural Exchange Forum was held in Yangzhou City, east China’s Jiangsu Province, on 30 March. According to a survey released during the seminar, the five major emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are taking on a new role and providing a new model for global governance. Edited excerpts of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speeches on the BRICS cooperation since 2021 follow:
We need to uphold openness and inclusiveness and pool collective wisdom and strength. BRICS countries gather not in a closed club or an exclusive circle, but in a big family of mutual support and a partnership for win win cooperation.
