Belt and Road digital alliance conference proposes combining IT expertise with Chinese funding to develop countries along the routes |

Zambian Ambassador to China, Winnie Natala Chibesakunda, said her country is looking to build a Smart Zambia and turn the country into one that is technology-driven. She made the remarks at the "B&R" Digital Economy Strategic Alliance Conference held on November 2 at the Inspur Jinan Science and Technology Park in east China’s Shandong Province. "Zambia will be an active participator of the alliance," said Chibesakunda.
With "Global Win-Win Cooperation" as the theme, the "B&R" Digital Economy Strategic Alliance aims at providing a package service combining top-level solutions and financial support to countries involving the Belt and Road Initiative in areas of "datacenter + cloud" service, smart finance, smart home, smart taxation and smart city building, by integrating products, technologies and solutions of the world’s premier IT companies and financial institutions.

In his keynote speech, titled Global Win-Win Cooperation, Peter Sun, Chairman and CEO of Inspur Group, said that as the initiator of the "B&R" Digital Economy Strategic Alliance, Inspur hopes to partner with top technology companies worldwide along with China’s national financial institutions to assist countries along the Belt and Road to solve their technology and funding problems in informatization technology development.
As China’s first platform for information technology development targeting countries involving the Belt and Road Initiative launched by the corporate sector, the alliance adopts the cooperation mode of "1+4+3," which means it is an alliance of Inspur and four global technology giants of Cisco, IBM, Diebold Nixdorf and Ericsson, with support from three of China’s policy-based financial institutions, namely the Export-Import Bank of China, China Development Bank and China Export & Credit Insurance Corp.
