Selected pictures of domestic and UNESCO registered intangible heritages
Gallery | VOL.10 November ·2018-11-20

Intangible culture heritage reflects a nation's culture and people's lifestyle in history. It is also nonrenewable and cannot be retrieved once lost. This is why all the world nations and related organizations are working hard to safeguard endangered intangible culture heritages.

China has abundant intangible heritage resources, due to its long history and colorful culture. By the end of 2017, China had 39 intangible culture heritages inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Culture Heritage Lists. In addition, China also has numerous intangible culture heritages that are under national and provincial protection. ChinAfrica has selected a sample of both domestic and UNESCO registered intangible heritages to give our readers an idea of the vast scope of these skills and expressions.
