Desertification presents a threat to many countries around the world. For decades, China has been fighting against desertification and has made progress. The Kubuqi model, which combines ecological development, economic development and social development, has proven to be successful. So far, one-third of Kubuqi Desert, the seventh largest desert of China, has been afforested.
