Lianghui in African Eyes - China Causing Africa’s “Debt Trap?” Definitely Not!
China's Two Sessions in the eyes of an African journalist
  ·2019-03-08

State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met the press this morning on the sidelines of the Second Session of the 13th National People's Congress.

Wang took questions from Amedetor-Yakanu Theodora Abla, a senior editor of the Ghana Broadcasting Corp., regarding the relations between China and Africa.

Wang said China-Africa relations have never been better, and China has demonstrated how to be a role model for international cooperation with Africa.

China-Africa cooperation is becoming more and more successful, said Wang, and this success brings with it some criticisms and smears. But there is deep mutual trust between the two sides and the time-tested friendship and fruits of cooperation can be seen across the African continent, he said.

ChinAfrica spoke to Abla after the press conference and she shared her views on Wang’s comments.
