Although we generally focus on travel in Africa, this month we go a bit further afield to the amazingly glitzy artifice that is Dubai. As part of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai has gained a global reputation as a professional ex-pat's haven for high salaries and exemption from taxes.

It is also known for shopping, but it's so much more. We stay in fabulous resorts, enjoy amazing cuisine and watch the view from the tallest building in the world.

But first we stop off in the Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. This extraordinary country has come a long way from its dark past to the thriving economy it is today.

We visit the Kigali memorial museum to remind us of the awful things humanity is capable of but also how this amazing people have overcome gargantuan odds to live as a united nation today.

We also have a chat to the CEO of Comair Ltd. in South Africa, Erik Venter. Expanding a small airline into a travel business with thriving regional operations delivers some powerful messages for entrepreneurs in tough times and he tells us about the valuable lessons he has learned along the way.

And finally we visit the breath-taking Sabi Sands in South Africa and stay in a tree-house surrounded by the Big-Five. But not just any tree house... MORE Hotels' Kingston tree house is a luxury, once-in-a-lifetime experience you will definitely not want to miss.

So enjoy this month's great getaways and until next time, bon voyage!
