China and Tanzania celebrate half a century of diplomatic relations
By Liu Wei

Lu Shaye: After 50 years, China- Tanzania relations are maturing and present distinct characteristics of enduring friendship, practical cooperation and colorful cultural exchange. The development of the relations can benefit the people of both countries. The contribution of the TAZARA Railway to China-Africa friendship will last forever, and it means more than a railway by symbolizing the African spirit of independence, self-reliance, unity and tireless efforts. Under the new structure, China will continue to promote bilateral relations with high-level exchanges. The two countries will make full use of their advantages and have their cooperation benefit everyone, as they are the foundation of China-Tanzania relations. China will also continue to promote understanding and friendship between the two countries, especially the younger generation.

Cao Jiachang: Political stability, aspirations of economic growth and attention from the international community are all conducive to economic development in Africa and will give foreign investors' confidence. With the economic growth of both China and Africa, certain fields like new energy will become the focus of China-Africa cooperation. Under the guidance of the government, there will be more Chinese state-owned and private enterprises involved. The future cooperation between China and Africa will not only focus on bilateral cooperation, but also on regional cooperation, and will be an all-dimensional, multi-level pattern.
