I have deep feelings for Africa, for I have been working and living in Tanzania a year and a half. In addition to daily outpatient services, I always communicate with local students and doctors. Local people don't know much about traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). However, the TCM clinic set up in Tanzania and the medical discussions with my local colleagues have been serving as a bridge for culture between both sides. Local young people and I also exchange views over world issues and Sino-African communication. I think more efforts should be made in Sino-African youth cultural exchanges.

China has attached great importance to its cooperation with Africa. In recent years, more and more African students are coming to China for higher education or advanced study and China has continued to increase assistance to Africa. A large number of African students have engaged in the Sino-African trade activities after graduation. In contrast, there is very small number of Chinese students going to Africa. I think the Chinese Government should set up more study abroad or exchanges programs in Africa for Chinese students.
