By Lu Anqi

[March 3, 2014, Johannesburg] The South African Government has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Kunming, south China's Yunnan Province

A statement posted on the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) website said the South African Government condemns in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack which took place at the Kunming Railway Station in the People's Republic of China on March 1, 2014, which claimed the lives of 29 innocent people and left more than 130 people injured.

"The South African Government condemns all forms and manner of terrorism," the statement said. "We believe that terrorism in any form and from whichever quarter cannot be condoned."

The statement said the South African Government sends its deepest condolences to the government and the people of the People's Republic of China, and in particular to the families of the deceased and wished the injured speedy recoveries.
