A worker sweeps up a carpet of purple leaves dropped from the Jacaranda trees that line many streets in South Africa's capital Pretoria, known as Jacaranda City. During the months of October and November these trees turn the city into a purple garden, heralding the approaching festive season and attracting many visitors.
