China hosts the Year of South Africa from April 29 to December 5, 2014. It was marked by more than 50 programs, ranging from trade seminars to art events and educational projects. This year, South Africa will host the Year of China. The programs were agreed upon by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma when Xi visited South Africa in 2013.
