Richest Man
President of Dangote Group, Nigerian Aliko Dangote, has emerged the richest man in Africa, for the first time, with a net worth of $13.8 billion, according to a report from the Forbes annual world's billionaires ranking. His fortune surged 557 percent in the past year, with his ranking up from 436th to 51st in 2011. The 14 Africans on the 2011 rich list are two Nigerians, four South Africans and eight Egyptians.
Air Hostess
Deqen Yangzom, known as the first Tibetan air hostess, has joined the senior management of the newly established Tibet Airlines, the first airline company in Tibet. Deqen Yangzom was born in 1976 in Lhasa to Tibetan parents. After graduating from high school, she became Air China's first Tibetan air hostess in 1995. |
