Role Model for Youth

Houston Rockets basketball star Jeremy Lin, an emerging idol with a huge group of young fans in China, sent his best wishes to Chinese youth from the United States, highlighting the importance of teamwork and encouraging students to bravely pursue their dreams. His message was sent through The First Lesson, CCTV program sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education since 2008 for each autumn semester.

Rwanda Enters Miss World 

For the first time in Rwanda’s history, the national beauty queen Aurore Kayibanda Umutesi is set to represent Rwanda at the highly anticipated Miss World pageant 2013. According to the Miss World website, Umutesi is listed as the 13th contestant to register for the next pageant slated for September 2013. Umutesi, 20, is a first-year Civil Engineering student at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.
