在中南双方共同努力下,继2014中国"南非年"在华成功举办后,南非"中国年"又在美丽的比勒陀利亚隆重开幕｡我谨代表中国政府和人民,对此表示热烈的祝贺,我已指定中国文化部长雒树刚先生作为中国政府代表前往出席活动的开幕式｡

在南非"中国年"框架下,中南双方将密切配合,在南非全国9省主要城市举办涵盖经贸､文化､教育､科技､旅游等诸多领域的交流活动,充分展示中国的发展历程和成就,以及中南交流合作取得的丰硕成果｡相信同中国"南非年"一样,南非"中国年"将为中南人文交流掀开新的篇章｡

去年12月,总统先生对中国进行了成功的国事访问,我们共同就中南关系发展作出了长远规划和部署,我们应该携手努力,推动中南､中非友好合作取得更多成果,更好造福中非人民｡

Dear Mr. President,

Thanks to the concerted efforts of our two sides, following the success of the Year of South Africa in China in 2014, the Year of China in South Africa is now solemnly launched in the beautiful city of Pretoria. On behalf of the Chinese Government and people, I would like to extend to you our warm congratulations. I have designated Mr. Luo Shugang, Minister of Culture, to attend the opening ceremony as the representative of the Chinese Government.

Under the framework of the Year of China in South Africa in 2015, our two countries will work closely together and organize activities in a wide range of areas including economy and trade, culture, education, science and technology, tourism, etc. Held in major cities in the nine provinces across South Africa, the events will showcase China's development journey and its achievements as well as the fruitful results of China-South Africa cooperation. I am convinced that like the Year of South Africa in China, the Year of China in South Africa will usher in another new chapter of people-to-people and cultural exchanges between our two countries.

During your successful state visit to China last December, you and I laid out the long-term blueprint and action plan for the growth of China-South Africa relations. Let us work hand in hand to strive for greater results in the friendly cooperation between China and South Africa and between China and Africa as a whole, to the greater benefit of the Chinese and African peoples.

May South Africa enjoy prosperity and its people happiness.
