Inner Mongolia Normal University

Founded in 1952, Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) was one of the key universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Currently, IMNU has over 30 schools, departments and research centers.

IMNU actively develops international and regional exchanges and has friendly cooperative relations with universities, colleges and institutions in countries such as the United States, Britain, Germany and Russia.

IMNU began to recruit foreign students in the 1980s; and since then, it has educated more than 2,000 international students from over 10 countries. At present, there are more than 300 foreign students studying in the International Exchange College of the university.

Lectures and elective courses such as the basic information on China, Chinese culture, history, economic development, calligraphy and taijiquan are very popular among foreign students. Those classes help them learn Chinese language, understand the nation and its rich culture faster and better.
