Liaoning University

Liaoning University (LNU) has always had an international vision regarding academic cooperation and exchange. Since it was founded in 1948, the university has established formal friendly relationships of academic cooperation with over 40 colleges, universities and research institutions in 14 countries. The academic relationships are maintained through mutual visits, faculty staff and student exchanges and joint research projects.

The university is located in Shenyang City in northeast China's Liaoning Province, covering an area of 1.42 million square meters. It consists of 15 colleges and  three centers for post-doctoral studies.

The College of International Students, established in 1965, is a separate department within the university dealing exclusively with international students. In 2003, LNU allocated funds to construct a modern building of 15,000 square meters for the college, with multi-media classrooms to meet international students' needs. In 2007, the facility changed its name to International College for Chinese Language Studies.

Every year, about 700 international students from more than 50 countries study Chinese language and culture at the university. Thanks to its good reputation, LNU has attracted a large number of international students.
